This policy describes how thisisfor.us and the tools it operates, including Proxy Printer and Life Tracker, handle information. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean the operator of thisisfor.us. It does not cover websites or services operated by third parties.
Visiting the website
The homepage and these policy pages serve local images, styles, and fonts. They do not include analytics scripts, advertising trackers, account registration, or forms that collect personal information. They do not set application cookies or save information in browser storage.
As with other websites, requests reach our web host. Hosting infrastructure may record technical information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information, referring page, and errors in access or security logs. These records can support delivery, troubleshooting, and protection against abuse. Hosting log settings and retention depend on the hosting provider and server configuration.
Information saved in your browser
Life Tracker uses local storage to remember player names, game state, and undo history on your device. Its game data is not sent to us by the application.
Proxy Printer uses local storage to remember your decklist, print settings, selected card versions, and card-back preferences. That stored information remains in the browser, but using card lookup features sends the requests described below.
Local storage is different from a cookie. It normally remains until you clear it or your browser removes it, and it is not automatically sent with each web request. Anyone with access to your browser profile may be able to see saved information. Avoid entering sensitive personal information in decklists or player names.
Card lookups, images, and PDFs
Proxy Printer parses your decklist in the browser. To find cards and artwork, it sends card names, identifiers, search queries, and relevant lookup options to server endpoints on this site. Those endpoints forward requests to Scryfall or MPCFill and may cache lookup responses on the server to reduce repeated requests. This is not a private, entirely offline workflow.
Card images load from third-party image hosts, including Scryfall and Google-hosted MPCFill images. Proxy Printer also loads its PDF library from the cdnjs content delivery network. When your browser connects directly to these providers, they receive technical request information, which can include your IP address, browser information, the image or file requested, and a referring URL depending on browser settings.
Images you choose from your device are read locally for the current session; the tool does not upload those image files to our server or save them between visits. PDFs are generated in your browser. Downloaded PDFs are saved wherever you choose on your device.
Use and sharing of information
Information handled by the tools is used to provide the features you request, remember your preferences, retrieve card data and images, and keep the service working. Our current applications do not include advertising or data-sale features.
Information needed to deliver the site or perform card lookups is processed by our host and the third-party providers described above. These providers have their own terms and privacy practices. We may also disclose information available to us when required by law or reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect the service, or protect others’ rights.
Retention and your choices
To remove locally saved game data and preferences, clear site data for thisisfor.us in your browser settings. This can remove saved data for both tools because they share the same website origin. Blocking local storage or using private browsing may prevent settings and games from being remembered.
Downloaded PDFs and other files remain on your device until you delete them. Clearing browser storage does not delete those files or server logs. Server-side card lookup caches are reused for limited periods and cleaned up by the application; cache expiry does not guarantee immediate deletion of a file. Hosting logs and third-party records follow their respective retention settings.
If you contact us, we receive the contact information and message you provide and use them to respond and address your request. We retain correspondence as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations. Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold, or other privacy rights. Contact us to make a request; we may need information to verify it. We cannot directly access or delete data stored only in your browser.
Security
No website, network, or device can guarantee complete security. Keep your browser and device updated, avoid sharing sensitive information through the tools, and keep your own copies of anything you need to preserve.
Children’s privacy
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and remove information within our control where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page and its date when our information practices change. If applicable law requires additional notice or consent for a change, we will provide it before that change takes effect.
